Fake TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph
A white and blue panda dial with an exposed tourbillon plus details associated with the Carrera “Glassbox” series. The Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph is another version referring to Fake TAG Heuer racing traditions.
Those who used to go to Baselworld will surely remember the sensation caused by the presentation of the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon in 2016. And it wasn’t about the technical aspects or modern appearance, but about the price – the watch cost 15,000 CHF, which the heads of some noble watch brands called “spoiling the market”.
The Carrera Glassbox collection has proven to be a hit, which is why TAG Heuer is constantly adding new versions to it: last year, the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon model appeared in a version with a navy blue dial, and a few months later with a dark green one. Now, they are joined by a version with a white and blue panda dial, inspired by car races organized on frozen Alpine roads.
As in the two previous models, the new Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon has an identical, 42 mm steel case, water resistance to 100 m and details associated with the Carrera Glassbox series. And the differences? One – the color of the dial. Contrasting against the white brushed background are the two dark blue chronograph counters below the dial (30-minute at 3 o’clock and 12-hour at 9 o’clock), the dark blue background for the seconds scale, and the red chronograph seconds hand moving above the dial.
The dominant element in the lower section is the minute tourbillon at 6 o’clock, the cage of which is reminiscent of the three-spoke, openwork steering wheels of 1960s racing cars. A large amount of luminous matter would not fit into this classic retro style, so in the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon it has been limited to the necessary minimum (only the hour and minute hands and the dots at the hour indices are covered).
Turning the watch, under the transparent caseback we will see the automatic TH20-09 calibre known from the two previous versions, with a tourbillon and a column-wheel stopwatch. The TH20-09 calibre is an evolution of the Heuer 02 calibre introduced in 2016 – it has an improved winding system, because the rotor winds the spring in both directions, and in addition, the rotor is in the shape of the TAG Heuer logo. The calibre, working at a frequency of 4 Hz, has a 65-hour power reserve and a chronometer certificate issued by COSC.
