Fake Audemars Piguet [RE]Master02: The return of a rarity.

But what is this? Yes, Fake Audemars Piguet has just unveiled a new gem with a crazy vintage and asymmetrical look. There is no longer any doubt, shaped watches are beautiful and well and truly back for my greatest pleasure. Exactly 4 years after the launch of the [Re]Master collection, the second iteration [Re]Master02 is finally here.

Remember, in 2020 the [RE]Master01 was released, a chronograph inspired by a watch from the 1940s made by Audemars Piguet. This edition was limited to 500 pieces and kept all the DNA of the chronograph of the time and personally I loved the reissue of this watch.

Shaped watches are all the rage. The [RE]Master02 is a perfect illustration of this, inspired by a rare Audemars Piguet reference, the ref. 5159BA, which at the time had a 27.5 mm diameter yellow gold case and was produced in just 7 pieces.

This new version features a magnificent 41 mm case in Sand Gold, an alloy of 18 carat gold, palladium and copper specific to AP that offers a magnificent play of colors. The faceted sapphire crystal encloses a sumptuous dial in shades of blue with a brushed finish. This dial is divided into 12 segments by lines applied in Sand Gold as well.

This new model is powered by the automatic caliber 7129 based on the 7121 movement that powers the Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin. Hence the 9.2mm thickness of this [RE]Matser 02. This movement offers a power reserve of 52 hours, which is decent.

In terms of availability, this unique-looking Audemars Piguet will be a limited edition of 250 pieces sold for €47,200. For the moment, no more information on the date of availability in stores. I find it to be a great success if we put aside its price. The [RE]Master02 succeeds in perfectly marrying the past and the present, offering an aesthetic that will please both vintage watch lovers and fans of more modern fine watchmaking.
