Fake Panerai Returns to the Chronograph: Luminor Chrono Monopulsante GMT Midnight Blue
Fake Panerai approach to the world of chronograph takes us back in time. It dates back to 1943, the year he identified the Mare Nostrum project, a prototype created for the deck officers of the Italian Navy.
Panerai Luminor Chrono Monopulsante GMT Midnight Blue
In 2021 the Maison takes back this rare complication in its timepieces and offers it on its iconic Luminor. The result is the reference PAM01135 which identifies the new Panerai Luminor Chrono Monopulsante GMT Blu Notte built in a limited edition of 200 pieces.
The fact that it is an uncommon Luminor is also underlined by the 44 mm matt black ceramic case. The zirconium powder that composes it has been compressed and processed to present a sandblasted structure that Panerai says is particularly resistant to scratches.
The single button to control the start, stop and reset chronograph functions has been positioned on the left case band at 8 o’clock given that on the other side there is the bulky but characteristic bezel-shaped winding crown protection system.
Clock face
A detail that increases the charm of this Luminor Chrono Monopulsante is the midnight blue dial decorated with sunburst on a satin background. Naturally unchanged is the sandwich structure, the identifying mark of the brand’s divers, which sees the lower disc near the index and numeral openings of the upper one filled with SuperLuminova, white in daylight which becomes intense green in the darkness.
Two straps are supplied: the first is in blue leather with white stitching, the other in blue rubber. The watch is waterproof up to 100 meters.
Movement
This Luminor also marks the presence of the first chronograph movement created by Panerai, the P.2004 caliber. It is a chronograph with sorting via a column wheel and governed by a single button. It is also equipped with a GMT function which, with an additional hand, allows you to read the time in two different time zones on the dial.
In addition to a small seconds counter, it features a 24-hour counter with a day and night indicator. The movement is hand-wound and its long 8-day autonomy is always within sight thanks to Panerai’s typical linear power reserve display.
