REVIEW OF FAKE HUBLOT’S CLASSIC FUSION CHRONOGRAPH CONCRETE SAND

Today, we look back at a significant release unveiled at the end of last year, just before the shower of announcements resulting from Watches & Wonders. Fake Hublot once again demonstrates its astonishing mastery of materials through a limited edition of just 100 pieces celebrating the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates. Focus on the Classic Fusion Chronograph Concrete Sand.

On the menu: concrete, sand and camel leather

Hublot has managed to pay a brilliant tribute to the United Arab Emirates by taking inspiration from Dubai in an intelligently thought-out creation. Its case, measuring 45mm in diameter and 13.85mm thick, is made from concrete mixed with epoxy resin (preventing erosion). It is associated with a sumptuous dial containing orange sand, under an anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal. A perfect nod to Dubai, the country’s first city, whose concrete towers rise in the middle of the desert. A camel skin frame completes the look, in a color harmoniously matching that of the dial.

An automatic chronograph movement

This very special edition is powered by a self-winding movement, caliber HUB1143. More precisely, it is a reworked ETA 2892-A2 base, oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 42 hours of autonomy, supplemented by a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. The latter displays a central chronograph seconds as well as a 30-minute totalizer placed at 9 o’clock, the other counter being an offset seconds. There is also a discreet date window with a black background located at 6 o’clock. You will be able to observe the details of the movement through its engraved sapphire case back.

Unfortunately, this is not an easy part to acquire. In addition to being limited to only 100 copies, it is exclusively offered by Seddiqi, a famous Dubai retailer. Hublot once again affirms its extraordinary mastery of materials while paying homage to the city of Dubai. Its price, set at $25,200 USD, may seem high given the movement it houses, but is justified by limited production and a unique creation process specific to the brand.
